There are countless ways to earn extra money at home on the internet. But because there are so many options, it can all become very confusing, especially for a "newbie". It's more effective in Internet Marketing to FOCUS and become an expert at just one thing at a time. So I'm going to talk about just 3 ways to earn extra money at home.

2. Network Marketing.
3. Creating your own products.
Affiliate programs are probably the easiest way to get started in your own internet business and to earn extra money at home. You simply choose a program or product and register your details with that product company. You are then given your very own affiliate link for that product which links to the sales page.
Your main aim is to promote your affiliate link and drive traffic to that sales page. Every time someone goes to the sales page through your link and makes a purchase, you are credited with that sale, earning you a nice commission (usually about 50% to 75%).
The beauty of this system is that it's so simple and hassle free. You don't have to stock any product, ship it out or process payments at all. This is all handled for you by the affiliate company. All you have to do is drive traffic to the sales page through your link and then collect the commission checks each month.
My top pick affiliate program that I use is the Plug-In Profit Site, but the Internet Marketing Center is another excellent program. Also Clickbank has hundreds of products that you can sell.
Network marketing or MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) allows you to not only sell that company's products, but also to refer and sponsor other people. Any sales made by your "team" members or any other members referred by them, result in commission for you as well. So you get credit for your sales and referrals but also credit for the sales and referrals of your team as well. This is what they call residual income because it comes in month after month, long after the original sale/referral. This is leveraged income because you get paid on the efforts of others.
One of the best and longest established Network Marketing companies is SFI (Strong Future International). SFI have been online since 1998 and has a presence in over 200 countries with millions of affiliates worldwide. SFI is free to join, but like anything, if you have paid membership your benefits (and commission checks) will be increased dramatically. This is a very solid company with excellent, real-life products, allowing you to stay at home and earn extra money.
Once you've mastered affiliate sales and Network Marketing, you'll probably want to create and sell your very own products. You might create software, an e-book, a course, or service depending on your interest, passion or area of expertise. This will firstly require a lot of research and work on your part, such as who your target market is, what they really want, and whether your product or service will solve a problem that they have.
Once you have researched and created your product, you may want to hook up with a JV (joint venture) partner who could promote your product to his customers and mailing list. You could promote it on Clickbank or have your own affiliate program and have a team of affiliates to sell your product for you.
The most important thing you can do in your online business is to focus and consolidate. Once again, make sure that you master each strategy first before you move onto the next. Keep in mind also, that if you are earning extra money at home from one site, you could be earning from multiple sites. Build your empire one step at a time.
